Atlanta Dance & Music Academy (ADMA), formerly Studio Dionne, has been teaching Atlanta’s children and adults the joys of dance and music for almost 20 years, a uniquely diverse place where the entire family can enjoy the wide-ranging benefits of an arts education from professionals who excel in their field. ADMA teachers come to us from the best music institutes and dance companies around the world. With more than 100 years of combined teaching experience, their highest priority is to improve each student’s self-expression and confidence.

ADMA offers three large dance studios with free-floating sprung floors—essential for healthy, injury-free training—and specialized dance flooring overlay, as well as three music rooms with pianos, including one with a baby grand piano for low-pressure music recitals. ADMA administrative staff provides top-notch support so students and faculty can focus on the classes and having fun. Founder/Director

PAMELA DIONNE
Ms. Dionne began dancing as a five-year old with Frankie Levy in her hometown of Augusta, Georgia. At age 13, she received a Ford Foundation Scholarship and was invited to study with the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Ms. Dionne continued her training in Chicago with Richard Ellis and Christine DuBoulay, former soloists with the Royal Ballet of England.

While in high school, Ms. Dionne performed with the Chicago Ballet and upon graduation she accepted a position with the San Francisco Ballet. With these companies she shared the stage with such dance luminaries as Natalia Makarova, Carmen Delavellad, Rudolf Nureyev and Mikhail Baryshnikov. She continued her performing career as a soloist with the Theatre Der Stadt Bonn, West Germany and with Chamber Dance Theater.

Always drawn to teaching even while performing and pursuing her own career, Ms. Dionne has for more than 25 years embraced teaching ballet as her primary focus. For two decades she has directed Atlanta Dance & Music Academy, formerly Studio Dionne. Ms. Dionne is founder and director of CityDance and CityDance Ensemble, a non-profit entity, offering scholarships, outreach education and community performances throughout the Atlanta environs since 2003.
